Munin Plugins
New Smart Plugin (Work In Progress!)
The main differences with the standard smart_
plugin are:
- It shows the raw values. Note that it is not only interresting for
disk temperatures, but also for some other attributes which can show
the degradation of a disk long before the standard plugin gives an
alert based on the normalized values.
- In opposition to the standard smart plugin, where you have a graph by
disk, summarizing all attributes, you have here a graph by attribute,
displaying all drives in the same time.
(Perhaps not interresting for small setups, but very useful on servers
with a lot of disks).
Example
The plugin: smartctl2_ (configuration instructions at the begining of the file).
Disks caracteristics file: smartctl2_disks
Plugin configuration file of the Example: smartctl2
Corrected Plugins:
Iostat
The original plugin doesn't work in Xen domUs. This corrected version does.
Xen plugins
Main corrections (see comments in plugins for other changes):
- Corrected the internal names in order to accept doted or dashed domUs names.
- Added a dummy "domain-0" on some plugins in order to keep the same color for each domU for all of the plugins.
Example
(Note : we use Rodolphe Quiedeville's xen_memory plugin instead of the one stored in muninexchange).
